2008 Reunion

Lou put together another successful reunion in Myrtle Beach.  Her final words on the event....

The long awaited event is over.  I’ve thought all day about the cacophony that was our reunion.  But, it’s done.

Yet, it isn’t.

Thank you Patrick.  For the way you choose to interact with each and every one of us in simple, caring and loving ways.  I watched it happen.

Thank you Brian.  You are so important to us because you make Pat happy…and you make me feel special.  I just love it.

Thank you Beth and Scott.  Ohmygoodness.  Our memories build higher and higher on one another.  We’ve got a pretty tall pile of them now.  Shall we make a bonfire?  What a glow it would make!

Thank you  Nancy, for bringing your special joy into our lives.  (And, all of those wonderful appetizers!)  Your ‘51’ is going to stretch out a L-O-N-G time Nancy.  Mark my words.  I know grandmother’s genes when I see them!

Thank you Valerie.  For bringing your kitchen to our place.  And, for all of that food.  And, for the tables.  And, for cleaning up Sunday when I left a mess.  Thank you.  I just loved having some really good times with you this trip.  You’re good.

Thank you Audie for coming to this reunion.  You are so special.  We are grateful that you join us.  I am so glad to know you as an adult!  And, come back in 2010!  The fun has only just begun.

Thank you my precious sister, Joyce.  My eyes glaze over when I think of you.  And, my heart is full of 73 years of love for you.  Thanks to you and Jack (Whatta guy!) for helping make this reunion a reality.  I love you dearly.

Thank you Stephen and Lee.  For coming such a long way.  Lee, for helping me ‘wish’ Stephen would be home, and Stephen, who always makes my heart sing.

Another memory…but one which would NOT have happened unless we worked together to make it so.  THANK YOU.

Lou

.. and of course the food would not have been possible without Johnny and his rolling Taj Mahal and culinary skills.
